The Edge

The Edge youth club was set up about 4 years ago when we heard that Ali's motor bike shop wanted new bigger premises and needed someone to take over their lease... thus The Edge as we know it now was conceived as an idea for somewhere for young people from the Edgebury estate to hang out, learn about Jesus, and eat lots of food!

After a 2 month renovation project it was finally ready to house our small office, and youth drop in center with a kitchen and toilet area. As we have matured as a project we now have a bigger vision for The Edge.

The Edge F.C

Our football club for those aged 11-15 is on every Friday, meeting at Chislehurst Rec at 5.15pm to 6.45pm. We are currently part of an U14 League with matches being played on Saturdays. We are looking to add more age groups, so if you are enjoy playing football and are looking for a fun team to join, then come along. We have an F.A. qualified coach as well as coaching support from Charlton F.C. We also have fun outings like Quasar and we’ve held a FIFA 16 Tournament for the PS4.

The Crew

This club is for those in Year 9 and above, although exceptions can be made for those in Year 8. If you love playing games; we have card games, all sorts of board games, PS4 and Xbox 360. If you enjoy cooking; we’ve made everything from pizza and milkshakes to a Christmas Roast and pasta! If you enjoy just having fun, we’ve had shaving foam fights, played with water balloons and much more. We also have deep conversations about issues that might affect you as a teenager and Bible talks, in a friendly setting without judgement. We have young people from different schools all around Chislehurst and if this sounds like something you’d like to do, come over to the Edge on a Monday at 5.30pm to 7.00pm.

Edge Kids

Edge Kids is for Primary School children aged 6 – 11. It happens on Wednesdays from 4.30pm – 6pm. This club is fun and silly! Lots of cooking, lots of arts and crafts, computer games, table football, as well as Bible stories, action songs, group dramas, competitions with prizes to be won – you name it! We also have fun parties at special times of the year like Christmas and Easter and run drop in days during the school holidays. All clubs are fully staffed in the secure centre so you can leave your children and pick them up afterwards.

Homework Club

This club is for anyone aged 12+ and is from 6.15pm – 7.15pm on Wednesdays. We have computers at the centre, printing, stationery and craft supplies. We have a team of experienced homework helpers on hand if you need any one to one support with your work. Anything that you find tricky we can help with. This club is not designed to replace your school homework club but is aimed at those who would like additional support. The club is just 45 minutes long so come ready to get straight into things!  We may give priority for the computers to people who don’t have their own computer or printer at home if the evening gets busy.

That Thursday Club

This club is for anyone in Year 7, 8 and 9 and runs every Thursday (you guessed it!) from 5.00pm to 6.30pm. We have cooking, arts and crafts, games of every variety, fun Bible based talks and a messy game or two! We have loads of fun every week and we also go on different trips to places like Chessington or do activities like Scavenger Hunts and an Easter Egg Hunt! It is also a cool place to meet new people and to make friends from different schools.
